PUNCHING UNITS

Laserpin offers a line of Punching Units suitable for all applications. The standard diameters of the holes range from 2 mm to 16 mm. The company also developed special equipment that perforates at close distances in cross-direction or for specific applications such as mulching, with holes up to a maximum of 100 mm.

The shape of the holes can be the standard circular or non-circular for the most common uses ( euro hole, handle for bags). The shape of the holes can be also tailor-made. The unique feature of Laserpin’s punching units is the innovative 4.0 software, which singularly controls each punching tool and that allows an illimited number of perforation recipes.

PUNCHING UNIT SLP

The SLP is a special U-Shaped structure to be installed on a hosting unit It is especially suitable for Bag making machines and holes on the edge of the film.

MACHINE DESCRIPTION

The SLP goes at the edges of the film’s width and it is recommended when only one hole on a moving web is needed, at distances from 50 up to 400mm from the edge. It consists of a supporting structure with a “throat” with a length of 50, 100, 150, 200 ,300 or 400 mm, a complete punching tool (die, hammer, valve) and an electronic control box. It has a maximum operative speed of 250 meters/minute. It is the ideal solution for companies who need to perforate the material on the sides of the film (typically in the bag industry and on extruders). It is available for both circular and shaped holes.

Laserpin developed four Side Unit models:

  • SLP30: for holes with a diameter from 2 to 30 mm.
  • SLP80: for holes with a diameter from 2 to 50 mm and Euroslot or small shaped holes.
  • SLP120: for holes with a diameter from 2 to 50 mm. It is also suitable for shaped holes. Specifically: Euroslot and Handle hole.
  • HSLP: for a bigger oles from 60 to 100 mm. Suitable for agricultural applications.
  • The SLP 150-200 and 300 can be equipped with dovetails along the structure making it possible to mount more than one punching tool on the U structure.

PUNCHING UNIT LP

The LP is the smallest model of Laserpin’s punching units range. It is able to make holes in different types of materials on a moving web, up to a maximum thickness of 800 microns. It makes round or shaped holes of different sizes , mostly in plastic film. The great advantage of the LP machine is its adaptability to the customer’s requirements and the ease of integration along production lines (i.e. extrusion lines, bag making lines).

MACHINE DESCRIPTION

Designed to be installed on a hosting machine and compatible with all production lines, it guarantees perfect holes on a moving web. It makes both round and shaped holes. Round holes have a diameter between 2 and 50 mm. Shaped holes are all non-circular perforations such as handles for bags and Eurohole (Mexican hat).

The LP operates with multiple punching tools through which the film flows. The number of punching tools required depends on the customer’s needs. A punching tool consists of a hammer (upper part) and a die (lower part) and its action is pneumatically controlled by specially designed electric valves. It operates at a maximum optimal frequency of 35 strokes per second, and a maximum speed of 240 meters per minute (depending on the material), thus adapting to the production line’s speed.

The punching tools are mounted on dovetails on a bridge made of a composite structure. The alignment of the punching tools is easy, fast and adjustable. Thanks to the dovetails the punching tools can be manually moved along the bridge accordingly to the required perforation pattern. Each punching tool is electronically controlled, enabling the user to regulate the power, pressure and punching frequency singularly. The LP is integrated with an innovative 4.0 software to set the punching tools, the desired pattern, and frequency, with a user-friendly graphic design. The software can be integrated into the machine or installed on a tablet or computer, allowing remote control.

Thanks to its storage system, a virtually unlimited number of recipes can be set. Consequently, the LP easily adapts to different materials and thicknesses. Laserpin installs punching tools whose lifespan is five times higher than the top competitors’.

The LP2 is able to make holes in all types of materials on a moving web up to a maximum thickness of 800 microns. It makes round or shaped holes of different sizes on a moving web, mostly in plastic film. The great advantage of the LP2 machine is the possibility to perforate at very close distances between holes and between lines of holes.

Designed to be installed on a hosting machine and compatible with all production lines, it guarantees perfect holes on a moving web. It makes both round and shaped holes. Round holes have a diameter between 2 and 50 mm. Shaped holes are all non-circular perforations, such as handles for bags and Euroslot (Mexican hat). The LP2 operates with multiple punching tools through which the film flows.

Each punching tool is electronically controlled, enabling the end-users to regulate the power, pressure and punching frequency singularly. The LP2 is integrated with an innovative 4.0 software to set the punching tools, the desired pattern, and frequency, with a user-friendly graphic design. The software can be integrated into the machine or installed on a tablet or computer, allowing remote control. Thanks to its storage system, a virtually unlimited number of recipes can be set. PUNCHING UNIT HLP

The HLP is able to make holes on a moving web up to a maximum thickness of 800 microns. It makes round holes of big sizes on a moving web, mostly on plastic film. The great advantage of the HLP is the great adaptability to agricultural needs.

MACHINE DESCRIPTION

The HLP has a strong structure and it is designed for creating big holes (up to 100mm) such as those needed in agriculture (e.g. for mulching film). Designed to be installed on a hosting machine and compatible with all production lines, it guarantees perfect holes on a moving web. It makes both round and shaped holes. Round holes have a diameter between 2 and 50 mm. Shaped holes are all non-circular perforations, such as handles for bags and Euroslot (Mexican hat).

The HLP operates with multiple punching tools through which the film flows. The number of punching tools required depends on the customer’s needs.
