LaserPin S.r.l. has its HQ in Cologno Monzese, Milan (Italy).
It started its business in 1949 under the name of MIATEX, a company that manufactured components for the textile industry and then specialised in the development of micro perforating machinery for various types of materials. Subsequently, it also expanded its range of expertise into the field of hot micro perforation. In fact, Miatex became the first company to apply it on plastic films.
It also developed a department dedicated to complete system integrations, designing and manufacturing unwinder-rewinders.
At the end of the 90s, production was extended to stretch film converting and later on to the food PVC sector, increasing the manufacture of slitter-rewinders and thickness reducers.
Over the years, Miatex has designed and produced slitting, pre-cutting and multi-cutting, fibrillating and other units for a wide variety of material applications.
Miatex has made history in micro-perforation. With the new ownership and a generational change, LaserPin has expanded its production range during the 2000s, also designing and manufacturing macro-perforating units, also called punching units, and remaining a point of reference for technical support and spare parts.
It has also introduced laser perforating units within its range of proposal.
LaserPin, heir to Miatex and still living within the same historic walls, is currently specialising in the designing and production of machinery for the processing of moving materials for a wide range of applications in sectors such as textiles, automotive, food, medical, agriculture and fibrillation; to mention a few.
